Grant money for professional development:
Up to $700,000 in e-Learning grant funding available to Ohio districts
e-Learning grants are available which provide matching funds for online professional development created by e-Read Ohio and funded by the Ohio Department of Education. These e-Learning professional development courses improve classroom instruction at the elementary and secondary levels.
ODE's Office for Exceptional Children has made funds available this year to support online learning (in accordance with Federal Part B funding) and anticipates awarding at least $700,000 to support intensive professional development projects for K-12 educators. 50% of staff members who participate in this online professional development must be working with exceptional children.
